Calgary Stampede Parade, Calgary, July 5, 2013

The Calgary Stampede is an annual rodeo, exhibition and festival that attract over 1 million visitors each July.

The 10-day festival opened with the parade on Friday, July 5, 2013. As the 2nd largest parade in the world, this year 350, 000 spectators lined the streets. The parade was broadcast live, with 2 million Canadian viewers and millions more in other countries.

Comprising 100 members from Vancouver, Toronto and Seattle, the Tian Guo Marching Band received an enthusiastic response from the audience and was awarded 3rd place by the judges.

Jason Kenney, Canada's Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, 
had his picture taken with the band and posted these remarks on his personal Twitter account, "Thanks to the wonderful Falun Dafa Marching Band for being a great part of the #101Stampede Parade!"
