A 2-day event celebrating the independence of the Philippines was held at Toronto City Hall on June 14 and 15, 2008.

This is the 3rd year in a row that the Tian Guo Marching Band of Canada was invited to participate in the parade. After the march, the band played the national anthem, “O Canada” to the delight of the audience members. The Master of Ceremonies praised the band for their efforts and invited the Falun Gong members to return next year.
