On June 14, 2008 the 23rd annual Highland Creek Heritage festival was held in Scarborough.

The parade started at 11:00 A. M. at Centennial Public School. This is the first time that the Tian Guo Marching Band of Canada was invited to participate in the parade.

Onlookers were pleasantly surprised to see the colorful blue uniforms and hear the resounding music. Many crowd members smiled, waved and applauded the band.
When the band passed by the main stage playing “Maple Leaf Forever”, the announcer repeatedly exclaimed, “Wow” when seeing and hearing the band.
