The Tian Guo Marching Band was invited to participate in the “Pistahan Sa Toronto” celebration of Filipino Independence on June 9, 2007. The event was held at Toronto City Hall.

The Toronto Filipino Center organized the festivities including singing, dancing, arts and crafts, a showcase of local Filipino-run businesses and delicious food.

The Tian Guo Marching Band played Canada’s national anthem, “O Canada”, to start the opening ceremonies and then led the parade.

The organizer repeatedly praised the band’s performance and thanked the members for their significant contribution to the Filipino Independence Day Celebration.
